Parking

Parking at London International Airport is easy, convenient and secure. Both short-term and long-term parking are located in our main lot, directly in front of the terminal building. Spaces are clearly marked for both short-term and long-term parking. There is no need to reserve a space for long-term parking - just pick up your ticket when you arrive and pay when you leave. Make sure you bring your ticket with you.

Parking at the airport is fully automated. You'll pick up your parking ticket when you enter the parking lot. When you're ready to leave, you have two payment options. You can pay by cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) at the Pay on Foot station in the arrivals area of the terminal building or pay by credit card on your way out of the lot. Sorry, we don't accept debit cards.

Picking Up Passengers

Arriving passengers can be met at the Arrivals doors at the north end of the building. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended. If you plan on going inside the terminal, please park your vehicle in the parking lot.

Dropping Off Passengers

Departing passengers can be dropped off at curbside at the "Kiss 'n Fly" area by the Departures doors at the south end of the terminal. This area is for drop off only. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended. Please use the parking lot if you are escorting a passenger into the terminal.

Travel Tips

1. Check in time is minimum 45 min for domestic travel and 1 hour for international travel. We suggest you give yourself 1 hour for domestic travel, 1.5 hours for travel to the US and 2 hours for travel to Mexico and the Caribbean in case you run into delays getting here.

2. Take out travel insurance and make sure it covers you for the places you plan to visit and the things you plan to do.

3. Make sure your passport has at least six months validity from your planned date of return if you are travelling. (Not required if you are only travelling to the US.)

4. Check with health professionals for information on recommended vaccinations.

5. Always pack zip-lock bags. They are ideal for packing things tighter, separating wet from dry and managing small items like batteries

6. Containers of liquids, food and personal items in your carry-on must be 100 ml/100 grams or less & must fit in a clear, resealable plastic bag no more than 1-litre in capacity. The bag must be transparent so screening officers can easily see the contents.

7. Yes, you can bring snacks (examples include sandwiches, fruit, muffins, granola bars) in both your carry-on and checked baggage for both domestic & international flights. Make sure you consume your snacks before you get off the aircraft as US customs will not allow meat, fruit, veggies etc.

8. Bring one piece of photo ID (OR two pieces on non-photo ID) if you are travelling within Canada. Passports are required for travel outside of Canada.

9. Make a list and check it at least twice.

10. Put all your travel documents together and keep a copy on your mobile device and leave a copy with a friend.

11. Dress comfortably in layers.

12. Don't over pack - plan ahead and lay out what you will be taking a week in advance - review before actually packing.

13. Research where you will be going. Contact your hotel to make dinner arrangements for the night you arrive and ask for suggestions during your stay.

14. Make sure your electronic devices are charged before you go - and bring the applicable chargers and adapters for foreign countries.

15. Relax and enjoy - don't stress if things don't go exactly as planned.
